We've mentioned a few gunwriters by name here recently. One of the few who consistently delivers material that I read and enjoy is Brian Pearce, at, "Rifle" and. 'Handloader".
I've never met him, but he seems to have his head on straight, be honest, and he has plenty of field experience. He also doesn't come across in print as God of the Gunwriters, as some do.
And he writes about practical revolvers a lot... not just M1911 variants. Good data on hunting rifles, too.
