Hi-Tech has surplus 223 bullets listed in stock

I was checking out various reloading sites, found Hi-Tech was showing bullets for sale, and figured someone here would like to know.

I was thinking about loading up some of my older, mismatched .223 brass with some cheap FMJ bullets. Just something to have on hand for 'what if'.

Does anyone have any experience with the pulled bullets? Are they decent? At $50/1000 I could afford to keep them around just in case.

Why would you use the cheap stuff for "What If" and the good stuff for putting holes in paper?

If the What If your talking about is what I think it is, wouldn't you want the best ?

But you all bring up a good point. I've only ever loaded varmint rounds, normally using Hornady V Max or Nosler B Tips. For hunting I use Hornady SST in the larger calibers.

So what is a good bullet to use in case of zombie attacks? I'm used to loading rounds to hit a little ground squirrel at 200+ yards. I think zombies are usually a little larger? ;)

You can't beat 50 per 1k for blasting ammo. Hey zombies won't care if your shooting 1 inch groups or 4 inch groups. As long as you get the lead down range inside of a pie plate all it good.

I hope they aren't using compressed loads of Titegroup in those rifle cartridges. :)
