Any advantages to putting an LED conversion on a weaponlight tha would offset the lack of range?
Durability? Brightness? Anyone?

The only advantage is longer battery life. If your primary use is indoors, it might not be bad. I would want the full power of a regular lamp outdoors though.

Agree, no real advantage other than battery life and maybe lamp life (LEDs tend to last longer than tungsten filament lamps).
IMHO in terms of brightness, the LED units are not superior to tungsten filament lamps -- not yet, anyway.

I can't see any point in putting an LED head on a weaponslight. But I did put one on one of my little Surefire E1E-Executives for battery life and duribility. It isn't as bright as the standard bulb, but is pretty close.

Yeah I'll probably just toss the regular ol 6P weapon light on it and call it a day.
I toyed w/ the idea of the Millenium 6V but not sure what advantage that would add either :o
