On this, as on many such forums, there is a Technical Support section that has several helpful tutorials on posting pictures and other useful tasks, such as quoting, font control, etc.
Click on the 'THR' in the top line on any page and you will be taken to the forum home page. Scroll down to the Site Maintenance bar and click on it to open it. You will find a topic titled, 'Technical Support'. Click on that topic to open it and you will find several helpful threads on posting pictures.
In addition, I posted a message back in April that provided specific instructions using Photobucket which expanded on the A. Walker posting in Technical Support. My post also covered using the Attachments button. Here's a link to that post: Posting Images from Photobucket (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=443116&highlight=post+images)
Looks like a sst huh? I tried it again and can't get it to work, I guess I am relegated to being dumb.....see the crumbs on my desk!

Outside of it being a Uberti & polished steel or SS it lookis similar to my Pietta w/ the 5.5" barrel.
that polished look is sweet.

Polished look: When I was in machinist school, many years ago.,my instructor showed me how to polish steel(with carbon content)so it wouldn't rust.I worked on a bayonet style knife that I anealed from a 14 inch file.I still have the knife, and it is still rust free.A blend of grinding and polishing with an oiled base crocus cloth and jewelers rouge did the trick.Lots of time spent. His take was to polish until there was no pin holes in the steel. My 1858 is not that well polished. Thanks for looking, Willie:)

I'm also having trouble figuring out how to post a photo, But thanks to the link mykeal provided I should get it.:banghead:
I've noticed most of you use photo bucket to store your photos. Is there a charge for this or do they require you to make a purchase? I have photos stored on another site and they require you to make a purchase ever so often or your photos will be deleted.

Another hint to add to the pictures ordeal steps.
Most cameras on high quality create a rather big image file size. A lot of the forums will not let you post file sizes larger than 100K to 150K or so for speed and storage reasons.
So before you upload your pics to Photobucket or any other hosting server it's wise to do two things to your photos using an image editing program..... I also suggest Photobucket. Great hoster. Avoid Image Shack because they hit you up with popups and invasive adware it seems.
A) First crop the photo down to include only the part you're wanting to show off. In PWillie's picture above it should have been cropped down to just the gun and about an inch worth of desk all around it. That let's us focus on the gun itself and not be distracted by his dinner crumbs.... :D
B) Use the image resizing feature to reduce the size of the cropped image down to about 5x7 inches or 500 x 700 pixels to 600 x 800 pixels if your editor does not allow for inch sizes.
NOW save the new image as a JPG format to a new directory that you reserve for putting pictures prior to your uploading to the hoster. That'll avoid saving them over top of the original that you want to keep.
Doing these will show off the part of the pic you're trying to show far better and it'll keep the file size under control and under 100K file size. I like to keep my own pictures down to 40K to 80K out of consideration for the po' folks still useing modems and to just generally make it so the pages can load faster for everyone.
It's a couple of extra steps but you get used to it pretty quick once you've done it a half dozen times.
Last but just as important. If you look down in the "Forum Jump" list you'll find under Site Maintenance that there's a Testing... Testing... forum. This is a place for folks that want to try stuff like learning to upload pictures. They put it there to avoid all the confusion that happens like in this thread. Not chastising here. Just pointing it out.
Back to the GUNS now. She sure looks different in white. And MY GRAN'MA, what a short barrel you have! :D I guess I'm already used to the look and feel of my own Remmingtons and this one just looks like it was bobbed at birth!
How's she shoot?

The grip will be slightly larger, the cylinder is .012 longer, & the frame is thicker making it weigh a few ounces more than your Uberti.
I love mine especially since I've done some mods to it to suit me.
