Hey all
I have found a piece I want to get but was too late to bid on Gunbroker.com for it.

This was the listing description:
"used but shot very little .410 sxs with cylinder bore 3" chamber dual hammers and triggers tang saftey, sling studs. Made in china by JING and imported by CAL GEORGIA, VT STAMPED ON BARREL lead shot only"
This is all the info I have, I tried net searches for Jing and CAL, it returned nothing even with a deeper than usual seach.
Anyone know anything about them, where to get them, name addy and phone if possible. ????
If not this one, does anyone else know of a lower cost SxS .410 18.5" bbl for sale, new, used or abused????
Thanks
Mike

Have you checked auctionarms, gunsinternational, and gunsamerica .coms?
Doesn't Stoeger make their coach gun in 410?
I believe Fausti does as well, but it might be a lot higher priced

Stoeger has a .410 version with 20" barrels:

From what I could find on Jing firearms, you are lucky you missed it. CJA or China Jing An is a company owned by the military and known for making less than quality weaponry.
There is a 12ga pump on gunbroker for sale right now made by Jing.

Thanks for the input, I will look at the other ones you mentioned.
I have checked the other auction sites for a db with hammers - .410, they are far and few between and when they do come around, it is usually an old collectible where my Southern Ancesators would raise outta their graves and haunt me if I chopped up an old Fox, LeFever or the like.
I am just looking for a short barreled double (18-20") .410 with exposed hammers. Heck even those damn Leinad (cobray & Daneil's) cheap metal stamped and riveted with no ejectors or extractors nightmares of a piece are like $200 in the dbl longgun.
As far as the other auction sites, by just experience alone, I stick with Auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com and have stayed away from Guns America like it was the plague... way too many horror stories from that site. I got ripped of about $600 from there with ZERO recourse.
I am very sure the Jing is a junker, but for what I want and need it for, I am ok with that. Since I am a smithy, I kind of know how to make a Junk/Klunk into a Jewel :)) :D
Thanks,
Mike

Ok did some checking....
The Century Arms dbl .410 from Midwest - is what I am looking for, but has been on back order for 11 months. One came in and was sold immediately to a back order list of 37. If I wanted a .20ga or 12 ga, they have em in stock. They had at one time, 78 .410's, One FFL dealer bought them all and sold them at 100% profit almost immediately.
The Stoeger, a lil over priced and no exposed hammers.
My heart and mind is honestly set on a dbl - exposed hammer - .410 with 18-20" barrels...... it will be used as a Canoe and flyfishing trip piece. Just want a simple double..... at a affordable price.
Sooner or later I will get one of some kind, I just started to drool when I had seen I missed that one on gunbroker.com.

I just took a Jing 410 coach gun in on trade. I'm looking to sell it. I don't know anything about them. It has the exposed hammers and a 20 in ch barrel with the sling swivels. It appears to have been shot only a couple of times. I'm in North Carolina. Let me know if you're interested. Because I don't know anything about them. I'll put a sale price of $300.00 on it. Is that fair?? If not make me an offer. Let me hear from ya..

If you don't KNOW it's good quality, China is often crap. You have to be very careful with Chinese stuff. Me, I just avoid stuff like this. I mean walmart coffee pots are one thing, but a gun? I'll buy foreign, not a "buy American" fanatic, but China is on my "buyer beware" list for large durable (or not) goods. I've got a couple of Norinco SKSs that have been fine, but I never heard of "Jing". And, I mean, the stocks on that thing look like they're rough carved from a 2x6 pine plank. I thought my Spartan was plain. At least it's walnut.
Do yourself a favor and look at the Stoeger if you want a .410 SxS.
