Last Saturday I attended the Rock Springs WY gunshow and came home with a couple of toys. First is the Remington 141 in .30 Remington caliber, the rifle is in very nice shape, maybe 92% or so, made in March 1937 according to the barrel code, very early in the production. It has nice old El Paso Weaver K4 on it. I like guns that are about as old as I am :D and I like the oddball calibers. Second one is a Savage model 340 in .222 Remington caliber. I have always wanted a .222 and have been wanting a truck gun so killed two birds with that stone. I have some brass coming for the .30 Remington and a side scope mount for the .222, am still looking for a set of .30 Remington dies. Yes, I know, some use .30-30 dies but the shoulder is different and the setback is different so I will hold out for proper dies. Looking forward to some fun at the range.

I have a friend that owns a Savage 340 in .222. Nice shooting rifle and pretty accurate, but the trigger is stiff. Both nice guns, I too like the Remington a lot.
