What! So you'll see what I paid and know what an Idiot I am!:what:
I've been wanting to age one of my two Patersons but didn't have the balls to start the job. I well sell one of them now to off set this ones cost.
Says the guns actually a copy of a Patterson. Somebody went to a lot of trouble to make it look old didn't they. Amazeing what can be done now a days to make brand new guns look old. One has to be careful on what he buys.

Yup. A real Paterson is more like $60,000 starting price. A guy needs to look real close if your buying an original. I have seen a few so called 'originals' that had half reproduction parts on them.

That's a really nice gun! I thought is was an original at first, until I saw what you paid for it :D
I think you'd call me an idiot if you looked into my gun safe...

Ah, an aged copy. I THOUGHT the pitting looked too even for it to be original.
But this way you won't sweat shooting it and that's a good thing.
Just how DOES the trigger come down for use? When you cock the hammer? And then it stays down for follow up shots until you push it back up for safety's sake? I suppose it could just be fingernailed down but that seems like it would be awfully slow to do if the gun was needed in a hurry.

That's it, when you cock it the trigger drops about half way down. Stays down until you push it back in to the frame.
I just spoke with the shop owner about this Paterson, I guess it has fooled a lot of people as an original. The script on top the barrel is not correct. He was unsure when he bought it, took a gamble on either he just got a winning lotto ticket or he lost some money. Apparently he paid quit a bit more than it sold for.

Ah, that makes sense.
While the evenness of the pitting made me wonder the looks of the grips REALLY made me thing this was legit. It's hard to make wood look convincingly old and properly worn. The condition and the split on the one side really makes these look like the real thing was left in a barn for the past 100 years.

Was there anything in the stimulus package to support a 12 step program for those..... who find themselves addicted to and under the influence of gunbroker???

I didn't see any; but if'n there was, most of us would just use it to feed the habit cuz we don't really want to be cured.

What? You guys didn't get your $250 stimulus check. I spent mine on powder, ball and caps for the summer.
