I have to believe someone in this group knows more about this than I do...

I'm looking for two-piece Weaver-style steel bases for a Savage M-99. I haven't been able to tell for sure from Leupold or Brownell's websites whether they have them. Talley and Warne say they can't help with this one. I want to use Talley or Warne's vertical split rings.

Currently the rifle wears a Redfield Jr. one-piece base (which seems to restrict access to the magazine), with horizontally split rings - which seem inelegant on the M-99.

Fat Bob, Welcome to THR. Go to the Brownells web site. They have two piece weaver bases for the Savage 99. They are made by Weaver. Front base # 955-010-014, the rear base #955-010-019. They are aluminum.
Hope tis helps. The two other brands you mentioned were not listed for the Savage 99.
Good shooting, John K
