Has anyone had any experiance with an AR 15 chambered in 7.62 x 39?I was wondering what kind of accuracy are they capable of and any problems with them.Seems like it would be a pretty good deal considering
around here 7.62s are around 3 dollars a box.If anyone has any experiance with this cal. in an AR or just have any input or ideas Iwould like to hear..THANKS,JOEL

from what i've heard they're kind of expensive to justify getting but rank high on the novelty factor.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and make the assumption that StrayCat meant the regular AR's chambered in 7.62x39 which aren't any more expensive than a regular AR and use proprietary mags similar to the AR rather than the super-sporty KAC version that takes AK mags...

But thanks for all the links, EAJ's!

The only person I ever knew who owned one said his was more accurate than his AK, although I personally never got to fire it. I used to think I wanted one, but I just never was able to justify it...

Yep!Thats what I was refering to.I was lookimg at the upper reciever kits for the ARs and noticed that they had some chambered in 7.62x39 and since I already have an SKS I thought about maybe having an AR in the same chambering might be worth considering.I just wondered if anyone had any experiance with them.Just an idea,I havent gotten enough info to decide yet. Thanks,Joel
