So my wife and I were relaxing in her home town and we heard about an auction going on down town(wich doesn't even classify as a normal city block) So we figure what the heck I've never been to an auction before this could be fun.

Them mostly have junk, a couple of cool thing, Collectors items(like coins) and antiques. But there is this one little section of the room right infront of the auctioneer's block that keeps catching my eyes: GUNS ohh yea'!

Some were antiques(like civil war era revolvers), some H&R break top revolvers, some Muskets from the early 1800's or so I was told(they did indeed look to be that old), and modern firearms (there was an old 3 screw black hawk which looked to be in about 50% condition mechanically it seemed decent but the extractor rod was ROUGH to push out it seemed to be dragging on the cylinder I dont' have too much experience with single action revolvers however I don't think that that is supposed to happen. There were all kinds of .22 rifles(that were deffinately a farmers tractor gun or so that's what the exterior condition lead me to believe) and some shotguns like an old marlin pump with an exterior hammer that was only offered to the stockholders).

I saw a Remington model 48. I've been in the market for a shotgun but haven't had the cas. It has a modified choke barrel and it is semi automatic with 2 in the tube and one in the chamber. THE BIDDING WARS BEGIN ON THIS!:[IMG]

that looks like a good deal :)

I wouldn't refinish the wood it still looks good, just a few battle scars.
