It seems that the general consensus here is that stun guns are almost entirely useless for self defense. They require you to make contact with you opponent, and even then they do not reliably incapacitate because they rely on pain compliance. A Tazer or a can of good pepper spray (most agree that Fox Labs 5.3 formula and Sabre Red are the best) would be a much better choice for self defense.
Sorry for not really answering your question, but it's important that you know the risks of relying on a stun gun.

I agree, I looked at all forms of defense and stun guns seem like the worst idea. The stun gun I have is 100,000v.
I can take hits from it without a problem.
A good pepper spray is your best defense, you can increase your distance instead of closing the gap.
