Looking for the pop-in cartridge types to help verify scopes after ATV riding/travel. Anyone have a recommendation on brand, type, costs, etc? Do these things even work? I put a scope on my Norinco SKS and couldn't even find paper with the thing. We wasted a lot of ammo trying to settle that thing down but gave up in frustration (and lack of brass!). My new DPMS Panther LR-308 however was set up with Nikon Monarch at the gun shop and was pretty darn close to perfect. A few minor tweaks and she'll be a monster!
I'd like to find a kit with .223, .30-30, .308, 7.62 x 39, and .30-06 to cover the range of rifles I've got so far.
I've been looking at several online and most come as a single laser with different bore arbors available. Knocks seem to be limited battery life but that's understandable as they are only using small button-type batteries.
Thanks,
Jeff

Sportsmans Guide usually has laser bore sights on sale.

I bought a bore sighter at wallmart that came with a bunch of adapters to fit almost any gun. I used it on about 3 rifles so far and they were on the paper first shot. They stick into the end of the barrel and shine a lazer from them rather than going into the actual chamber of the barrel. I think the one I bought was only about $30-$40 for the whole kit.
it was alot like this one just cheeper

Bushnell Laser Boresighter, $40. Fits all calibers. I use this ALL the time. It is probably no more than 3" off at 25 yards and thus gets me quite close before sighting in with live rounds.

Take the bolt carrier out and sight down the barrel. Center a distant object in the barrel and line the cross hairs to it. Save your money for ammo.

I also want to get a multi size bore sight kit. I looked at these but was wondering if anyone has hands on experience with any . They are all in the same price range but different designs. Which one works best?

The cartridge style would be my preference but I need too many sizes ($$$) hence looking at these kits.
