I put a red dot on my AK. Now I can't hit crap due to stock length/solid shoulder lock/nose smashing problems.

Does anyone have a grenade pad on their wooden stock AK? I am looking for a way to extend the buttstock length and I really like the red wood I have. How much more LOP would this pad give me, give or take?

Is there any other options. Maybe a screw on butt extender or a big, fat recoil pad, ala Limbsaver?

There are several pads around, most of which advertise adding one inch to the LOP.

Tapco makes a model that attaches over the butt plate and allows access to the butt trap:

Why not just go to K-Var or Brownells and buy a longer length of pull stock assembly?

I really like my "pretty" (this is my wife's favorite gun) Russian Red wood stock so I don't want to replace it.

That pad looks like the ticket though. I am suprised I didn't find it earlier.
