Guys, If dont know if you have heard it yet, but my cervical fussion was doing good until last monday when I woke up in super pain and my right arm numb, Add this to the residual numbnes in three fingers on my left hand and I'm one pissed off old man.
Doc started me on painkiller, prednisone, and muscle relaxers for ten days.If it does not improve, then an MRI, Mylogram, and posibbly another surgery. Enough of me. Now to the story.

On topic, We like to go yard saleing. Sat I just was not up to it so Cyndi went off.

She knows guns and knives so you can imagine my surprise when she come home with a bunch of stuff for her and hands me a POS Pakistani dagger:cuss:

It was only 50 cents she says.

I look at her and say "you know better than that, not only is this a junky POS but it is illegal"

She says "Take a good look dufus"( yep she said dufus)

I look again and all I see is POS.

I'm cranky by nature and the meds make it worse so I say "OK whats the big deal here I'm in no mood for silly games."

(Picture hands on hips) as she says,

" It has a brass pommel and brass hand gaurd ,and a real nice wood handle. Take it apart, throw away the blade and use them for that file your trying to grind into a knife"

Hmm she is right, God I love smart women, especially mine.:D

Just curious. Why is the Pakistani dagger illegal? Double edged blade?

Doc you have a keeper and I will lift you up in Prayer. The bonecracker got me back on my feet today. I had pinched a nerve sling blading some Johnson grass.

bikerdoc,

Remind Cyndi, oh heck never mind, next time I call I want to speak to Cyndi.
I will share myself with her about those smaller files and handles we spoke of.
While I have her on the phone I can walk her through the beginnings of grinding.
*snicker*

Sending best my friend.

I paid 50 cents each, for seven Mother of Pearl handles that originally were handles for sterling silver butter knives. (eight pc set originally I suspect)

Then I made six new sterling silver butter knife blades, and cemented the tangs back into the handles.
The seventh handle I used a Swedish File, ground it, and make a neat whittling knife.

Deals are out there if you carry cash and act dumb.

Trust me, there are plenty of people out there who aren't acting. As a teacher I see them all the time when they come to school with their children.

Great score for 4 bits, though. Against the law just because it's double edged? The damned government needs to be shredded and reduced to about two bits of what it is now.
