Im looking for a powder being able to sling 168 to 180 grain bullets over 3100 feet persecond on the 300 wby. Anyone ever use 7828?

IMR 7828 is a fine powder to use in most of the bottle neck belted magnums.
I don't use it but I have a friend who uses it in his 7MM Rem Mag with excellent results.

Look at the www.hodgdon.com site. You'll see several good powders that provide top velocity from your Weatherby.

www.alliantpowder.com has loads for Rel-22 & Rel-25 that also works extremely well.

Dan:
I've been using this powder in my custom 1B 7mm STW with 160 gr bullets for some time now and have been very pleased with it's performance. :)
