I wept with joy yesterday when I found two boxes of Blazer .45 FMJ yesterday for $18 each.

I mean remanufactured cheap or as cheap as we can get here! I'm sick of punching paper with $1 hollow points because it is the cheapest thing I can find!!! Find me some in-stock fmg 230 grains for my .45 damnit! :D

Keep haunting your local WalMart for Winchester White Box 100 packs. They do get 'em in, but they go right back out. Gotta be persistent. Usually about $29.98 per 100.

I've RARELY, and I mean RARELY found ammo online that can be bought & shipped to me for less than a local price plus sales tax, out the door.
For online ammo, I'd go with reman pistol ammo where you trade your spent brass back in when you order. And order in high bulk when you do because the shipping charge is the same for 50rds or 500rds.

I have found that buying bulk at Cabela's on line and using in store pickup to be a fairly cost effective option. They usually toss in an ammo box with bulk buys too. I bought Wolf .45 ACP 230 grain FMJ. It's dirty but shoots Ok. If you have one within driving distance this might be an option.

Good luck.
P.S. Can't promise cheap anymore........

Only place you will find it even remotely 'cheap'. VERY good ammo.

Got a reloading press? Not trying to be a smartass, just asking. I reload and I find it funny how many reloaders always post in these ammo threads that the individual in question needs to start reloading. I am all for encouraging new people to start reloading but reloading does not solve anyones ammo supply problem in the current market. For one presses are backorderd till next year, bullets are backordered till November, and primers seem to be backordered till infinity (not really more like a year or two). Its not that easy for new reloaders to begin loading like us guys who have acquired all the above items over time.

Cheap? No don't think so. Even folks on gun forums seem to be selling their leftover ammo at current prices, I think mainly because they want to cash in on the ammo scarcity in some areas. Guy selling ,357 ammo, I inquired about had almost a decent price, except he was charging + shipping, which brought it up to the price of Midway's ammo, which of course they were out of stock on.

What I find weird is that there are now, FAIAP, zero components to be had locally, or within a fair driving distance to me.
However, my dad has been buying primers, powder, you name it, from a local store that never even ran dry. I called him yesterday, and he picked up some primers for me from Gebo's. (http://www.gebos.com/)
Two states away, and the shelves are well stocked.

Try nachezss.com. Avail. is hit or miss. Also grafs.com sometimes has deals on ammo as well as components. +1 on Cabellas, Cheaper than Dirt, and Sportsmans Guide. The local Dicks Sporting Goods has had 9mm,30-30, and 45 ACP regularly in stock here in Maine. If you do your homework you will usually find the product you need at a reasonable price. If you choose to reload in the future the outlook on supply will generally be more stable as more options are available.

I get my .223 from Cheaper than Dirt and AIM Surplus. I get the ammo for about $6.25 for a box of 20 when you buy in bulk.

I went to the local gun show and was able to get Wolf 9mm for about $12 a box of 50. If you keep your eyes peeld you can find sales.
I also buy .22LR up when I can. Shoot I am down to under 3000 rounds.
