OK guys, I have recently purchased an H&R Trapdoor Carbine. It is in unfired condition and I believe it was built in 1973. I understand that there is a safety issue associated with how the breechblock locking cam is attached to the thumb lever shaft on these rifles. I have also been informed that there are a couple of easy fixes for the problem. Are any of you guys familiar with this problem ,or better yet has anyone worked on one of these rifles and maby even done the necessary fix? If you have any advise or suggestions on this issue they sure would be greatly appreciated. I don't think that H&R is a valid company any longer so I guess contacting the factory is no longer a possibility. Thanks again, Ron W
