Specs on SKS barrel threads?

Anyone know what threads are used on the receiver end of a Yugo SKS (m59/66) barrel? Just wondering about the possibility of replacing a barrel on one that is trashed.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I have a Yugo with a very well pitted bore and am curious if a barrel from a Russian or Romanian would fit.

From my measurements, it looks like an M26 x 1.5 metric thread. That puts the major diameter right around 24.96mm ... DON'T ask why a M26 has a 25mm major diameter ...:uhoh:

Whether the others would fit is an unknown to me, but a good place to start would be to measure that major diameter.
