New website launch - Forgotten Weapons

There is a whole ton of information on interesting and unusual rare firearms out there in the hands of scattered collectors that is inaccessible to the serious gun guys out there. A lot of data is being kept by elderly folks whose families have no idea that "those old papers" have any value. With that in mind, a few people I know have been working on putting together a web site to publish, free of any charge, as much information on lost, esoteric firearms as we can get our hands on. We've been working on it for a little while now, and have enough info up and running to open the place up for visitors...

http://www.forgottenweapons.com

We'll be adding material on a fairly constant basis, thanks to some extensive collections we have access to. The plan is to include a lot of detailed disassembled photos of various rare guns, complete with micrometer measurements of important dimensions - enough hopefully for the hardcore gunsmiths out there to make legal functioning replicas of some of these guns that haven't seen the light of day in decades.

Take a look - I bet you'll find something interesting! :)
