im thinking abut shooting 3 gun and some of the strings. have some slug shots. I have a smith&wesson M1000p with a modifide choke and a 3'' chamber. Dose anyone know if this might be a problem looking for a place to happen or will i be fine.Thanks.

I believe it will be safe, but a more open choke would be a better choice. I use an IC choke for my slugs.

Agreed. The only problem with your setup is the choke. It's a bit on the tight side. Don't get me wrong it won't be unsafe, but likely innacurate. IC or Skeet would be a better choice since it won't disturb the slug as much.
You could look into a rifled choke but the improvement might be minimal.

The modified choke is fine. There is nothing, repeat nothing, to worry about.

DO NOT use 3" slug loads and all is well.
