A friend of mine is looking at posibly trading off his Franchi Alcione SP. I looked it up in my Blue Book of Gun Values and it describes his shotgun, but it says it has gold inlays, and his doesn't have the gold inlays. He has the original box and reciept, and they both say Alcione SP. He says he bought it about 2004 for around $1200.00 new. Was there diferent Alcione SP's like a SPA and SPB or anything like that? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks rcmodel, I wish that chart showed if there was different "SP" models. He said he gave close to $1200.00 for his nib, but the book says the last MSR was $2780.00. Wish I could find a chart showing if there are different "SP" Alcione's. In my book it is showing only one Alcione SP. I am confused.

Just got off the phone with my friend and he says, it reads Franchi S SP. Anyone know anything about it?

I'm not real in the know on all their shotguns, but it sounds like your friend has a "Field Grade".
I do know that their 48 AL can be found in both "Deluxe" (with gold trigger, high polish steel, and high grade wood) and "Field Grade" (with the standard steel trigger, matte steel, and lower grade wood).
It sounds like this may be the same as what you're encountering.
