:banghead: You just know that CA legislators are watching this....

Requires licensees in business of firearms repair to obtain ballistics identifiers before returning a rifle or handgun to its owner.

And it's not limited to only businesses. You have to jump through the same hoops if you do any smithing or repairs of your own firearms....

Of course the Cal legislators are watching this! And no doubt some United States Senators. Stuff like this has a way of insinuating itself into law - it may be watered down a bit and passed in a slightly less noxious form, but then they'll be back to "strengthen" it and "close the loopholes". :cuss:

In fact, the CA state atty gen got a report that ballistic fingerprinting doesn't work and is easily defeated. He's busy covering it up so he can waste more $ during this deficit year.
