Taurus 990 22LR 4" barrel, 9 shot stainless. I have been looking at all kinds of 22cal revolvers and this one followed me home. I did not like the feel of the Heritage and the others. Anyway I just cannot wait to try her out

Please give us a range report when you get to break it in. That Taurus is on my short list for a 22 plinker. I hope the trigger has been improved over the 94 series.

Tried one of those in 17HMR. Thought the trigger was a little long, but the firearm made an impression, enough so that if/when I ever get a .22 revolver, unless I can find a steal of a deal on a S&W, it'll probably be a Taurus.
Enjoy, take more pics, and get us a range report.

Well no joy today, 100% rain today. Which is good because we have not had any rain in several weeks. I paid $360. I found a few on gun broker for a little less but then I would have to transfer...... so I went for it. I could not find any at the local gun show and the used dealers have been slim pickings since the election. I cleaned it real well yesterday and it is in my range bag ready to go. I will go to the indoor range Monday after work if today stays a washout.

Bet they are selling a ton of those---last S&W I looked at was pushin $800 and Ruger no longer makes the SP101 .22.

BONUS! This thing is a blast. The rain stopped and my buddy called to tell me about a range that is outdoors and open to the public so we went out and I spent 3 hours playing. I have never owned a revolver until this one and there are things I need to get used to I guess. Are they all "dirty" shooters? I just got allot of powder residue. I know that bulk .22 cal is dirty anyway, but my 22/45 does not seem anywhere near this dirty with the same ammo. That is the only complaint. It shoots well. Balance is nice sights line up well and are easily adjusted. I did move the rear sight one notch to dial it in. The double action pull is hard, but they are supposed to be. The single action pull is reasonable. I do not have a pull gauge so I cannot tell what it is. Over all I am very happy with my purchase of the 990. It was a windy nasty day but I was still getting 2" groups with federal bulk pack and my trying to set up consistently, 9 shots at 10 yards. I am going to go to the indoor range Monday anyway and take the wind and rain out of the equation. This pistol is definitely worth looking at.
