I am considering my first GP-100 in Target Grey.
I am still not clear on what this is -- is it a bead blasted stainless? Is this finish less durable than regular stainless?
Finally, are the GP-100s hard to find in this finish? Do they have a higher price?
Thanks for the info.

I've seen a couple of GP100 4" full lugged barrel revolvers here in central IL. Also a coulple SRH's in that finish.
Don't mean to be sarcastic, but it is a coating of some kind. Every gun I've seen with it new in the case was already showing signs of it wearing off.
Bright corners, and the drag marks on the cylinders was obvious.
To me this finish looks like the same sprayed on finish they use on the aluminum grip frames for the BH. Only in tool box grey.
Personally, I'd skip it and just get a regular stainless one.
