I just tried to buy one and after my FFL dealer got it frrom the FedEx driver it turns out the gun was NOT on the accepted list here in the PRMD. :cuss: Now I have to have the dealer return it to the original owner. :banghead: :banghead: I guess I'll go buy a C&R Sistema when I get my money less FFL costs and shipping costs. I hate this state.

Tom, how about a poll asking how many guns we have bought this year? You'd better allow for totals well into double figures... :D

That depends on if AIM is going to clear out their odds and ends like they did yesterday :D . If they do and it is something I want it will be in multiples of 4 (shipping is cheaper that way ;) ). Of course after yesterday I may be in the dog house until the end of the year :uhoh: .

Probably both new and used. Maybe something nice for christmas, and a target rifle for school's Rifle Team.

Yup, used ones. Note the offer on his page for a free Brownell's catalog for those of us who didn't have a current one. The "hard copy" is fun to browse through - there's SO much stuff in there that I didn't realize I needed until I saw it...
Edited to add: Thanks, Tom!

I would love to, could you please arrange to have George W annex the United Kingdom and tell the local nannys that your constitution now applies here, finally a note to Asda (our local WalMart) that they should begin stocking handguns. That way I could replace my 1911a1 and Walther CP99 (both co2 powered :uhoh: ) with the real McCoy before the UK government bans them too.

Well....since I bought four between March and September, there's a REAL strong chance of buying at least one more before the year's up....probably a milsurp rifle or two.....

When Big Sis Reno was the AG she advocated buying [not more
than] one a month. I have been trying to keep up ever since but
sometimes it is pretty hard to do. Now I have more guns than
money. But it sure is fun. Have only bought three this month.

I just ordered a IMBEL Type III receiver for a FAL build that I'm having done. I'm hoping to find a nice used Glock 23 before year's end. :)

"Will you buy a gun before the end of the year?"
Is a bear Catholic? Is the Papal bathroom located within a wooded area?
I am in negotiations right now for an Argentine Sistema.
Do NOT ask what i have bought so far this year. My wife is beginning to wonder just how big that safe is that I keep pulling all of these unfamiliar guns out of.

Alas, probably not. Unless I can trade/finagle I've got about $3K worth of dental work, and $800 or so in medical tests, bettween me and another gun.

Started out this year not really wanting anything and I've already bought quite a few. Want gun control? Restrict the size of safes. Gun control begins when the safe door barely closes.

Finally located a Japanese Type 99 in mint condition sans the monopod.
The price was a steal. I especialy love the airplane sights! One can never have enough firearms and yes it will be home with me soon!

I'm behind in the game so far this year. I've only bought 2 M44 Mosin-Nagants and a Stg58 but the year isn't quite done yet. I never know when something else is going to call to me surreptiously. I bet I can find something in either 6.5x55 or .260 Remington.

Well, after I got my Swedish Mauser about a month ago, I promised myself nothing more until after the new year (what with Christmas coming up and me not having done any shopping at all for anyone). I'd just feel too selfish buying another gun if it meant giving out lesser gifts. BUT, come January or February. . .:D

After I get back to the states next May/June, I'll be buying a few.

Right now I`m concentrating on Smith N frames, blue and of course used. I`ve seen several at gunshows the past few weeks that I wouldn`t pay the inflated prices for. I still might get lucky and find 2 or 3, or ??:D

This year:
Win. M-290
FN Browning HP
Gazelle Arms O/U 12ga.
Stuff to buy list:
Marlin 1895 in .45-70Gummint
Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt
Win 1300 Defender (tactically enhanced)
Browning Buckmark or Ruger .22/45.
A 1911 from some manufacturer good repute.
Another .30-06, .270, .338-06, or .35 Whelen. Would like to see the .405 Win. available in something other than an over-priced Win/Brng 1895.
A HDR to celebrate the death of the AWB.
Note: The above list does not account for mil-surp impulse buys, sweet deals, desparation sales, gun show opportunities, or sudden onset of black powder fever. :D
