Looking for a good paper punching scope, for ranges out to 300yrds. I hope to find a longer range to shoot at locally, so longer distances will be shot in the future. I have another post in the Rifle forum, and thougt of a few more scopes, and figured this might be a better forum for scopes:D The first is the Weaver T-24, looks like a great low end benchrest optic:) Also considering the Nikon Monarch 4-16x42, Bushnell 3200 5-15x40. Any pros or cons you have to offer will be apreciated. Oh yeah, I don't want to go over $350:)

I used two Weaver T36 scopes along with my two Luepold 36x scopes when I was shooting benchrest a lot and really found the Weavers to be as reliable and sharp as the Luepolds.

Dollar for dollar they were the better deal as some guy in Tucson was selling them for $300. a piece back then. Bruno Shooter Supply had them at $325. and Natchez was right with them. The guy in Tucson had started a price war and a bunch of benchresters stocked up because the scopes had proven themselves on the line. I eventually bought two more so I'd always have backup scopes. (Three rifles and a total of six zcopes).

So, if Weaver hasn't changed their T series since 2000-2001 then I'd think that the T24 won't disapoint.

(psst, wanna' buy a nib silver T36? :) Maybe two?)
