What 20 ga load do you recommend for Pheasants?

I've never hunted with a 20 ga before.

Fiocci "Golden Pheasant" nickel plated #5 for wild rooster medicine.
If you are preserve hunting over close working dogs with pen-raised stock- any decent #6 will do.

I shoot #4 or #6 for everything but mostly shoot #4. Only shotgun I use is 20ga.

#5 if you can find it.:)

Otherwise, makes no nevermind. Whatever you use when you shoot a 12.

Remember: the only difference between pellets from a 12 or a 20 when they hit the target is... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!:)

Pellets hit the bird one at a time. Doesn't matter what gun they come out of. So use a load similar to what you're used to in the 12, but reduce the total pellet weight a little for similar patterns.
