there is no greater endorsement of a sidearm in my book than to carry it concealed..

Hi Firefighter,

My favorites are my Makarov and my .22 NAA mini mag. Absolute reliability is my criteria. I carry one or the other in my ankle holster http://www.anklepocket.com in the winter and IWB or pocket in the summer. Both are really fine pieces of engineering.

Good shooting,

Scarface

Springfield PX9109L 5" parkerized .45 in a KyTac Braveheart IWB

Winchester RA45TP 230gr +P

Wilson 47C magazines (stainless with the low-profile pad)

Some springs and such have been replaced and there is some stair tape (like skateboard tape) on the frontstrap. One spare mag lives in a KyTac single mag-pouch. All on a Rafter-S 1.5" cowhide belt.

Soon I'll get it some Simonich 'Gunner Grips' to replace the stock ones. :)

October 23, 2003, 12:29 AM
Depending on a lot of factors, either:

1. Keltech p-32 with ball
2. SW model 37 snub .38 with 125gr+p gold dot
3. Bersa .380 with 90gr Hydra-shok
4. G-19 with 135gr Hydras
5. G-22 with 155gr silvertip

Sometimes an 870 under a trench coat:eek: ...joking

I usually carry one of those, and once in a while two.

The Keltech in pocket, snubbie and Bersa IWB, and the Glocks in a shoulder rig. Not at the same time:rolleyes:

Yea Logistar, but how many rounds fired through each? I bought all the guns new. I have around 850 rounds through the PT-111 (bought it first), approximately 500 rounds through the Beretta and 300 through the Kel-Tec.

The Kel-Tec has had a few FTFs and a few stovepipes. The Beretta came with a crooked from sight. (It was not centered in the dovetail.) I did not notice when I bought it. Gun shot to the right (for me and everyone who tried it). - Had to make a trip back to Beretta. (I couldn't budge it!) Otherwise it has been fine.

The Taurus worked perfectly from the factory and has never malfunctioned for me. I DO keep an eye on the pins, etc., but mine has been fine. To be fair, the Beretta has never malfunctioned (unless I was experimenting with recoil springs, etc.) but it was not right from the factory. - The Taurus was.

I know most people probably laugh at me for carrying the PT-111 but for me, if I draw FAST... it is more accurate for me than any other handgun I own. - It just fits my hand well and feels like a natural extension of my arm. (The trigger got a lot better after 500 rounds too!)

YMMV (maybe quite a bit!!!!) ;)

Poohgyrr and Series70, I like your style!

Me, it's a bone stock S&W 642 Airweight .38 Special in the right front pocket most of the time (158-gr. +p and a Bianchi Speed Strip), or a customized Series 70 Colt Combat Commander (nearly all Ed Brown parts except for slide, frame, and barrel) in .45 ACP on an OWB holster (Blade Tech kydex, Galco leather single mag. carrier, new Wilson mags., Galco gun belt) loaded with 230-gr. Golden Sabers or HydraShocks.

And ALWAYS a Benchmade full-sized AFCK, non-serrated, in Black Ti.

And sometimes a Fox Labs pepper spray.

FYI, when I run, I wear a small backpack, so none of this stuff feels heavy when worn day-in and day-out.
