I am gradually going thru my factory .454 and will reload but hey ...... this ammo ain't exactly belted magnum ..... strikes me the price tag of between $17 and $18 per 20 is way on high side.

I know ''special'' cals invariably get ''special attention'' when it comes to pricing but ... isn't this excessive? It is to me. Probably the cynic in me but seems like the manufacturers can about charge what they want ... and get it!:(

I have agree with you that the price seems high, but then prices of any better quality ammo are high if you ask me. I guess that is why I load my own.

Yeah, the 454 round is a bit pricey! Can't you use 45 LC? :scrutiny:

Can't you use 45 LC? Yeah - could, but very little of that cos dropped the cal way back and only have a few cases. Too mean to go buy any!!

Once my current batch of factory used tho ... will be reloading with some heavy cast bullets so ... won't have so much to bitch about!:p
