Belgium black powder proofed. Stamped " FABRIQUES D'ARMES Fs DUMOULIN & CIE Liege" and "Belgium" on side of barrel, not stamped "black powder only" smooth bore, .50 cal. appears very well made, tight action, triggers crisp, nice case colors.....I can't find any info. I'm sure it's a early reproduction, any input would be appreciated....TIA..

Check out this site:

You can email and ask them what they know.
I have a Belgian rifle with lots of inspector's marks like yours but it's not a replica - it was made in 1859:

Proofmark number 9 on the following page looks to be the most similar which says that it's reserved for muzzle loading pistols since 1925.
At the bottom of the page is a list of date codes.
If the date code is an "O", the proof year is 1976.
If the date code is an "M", the proof year is 1974.

The gun actually looks like it's relatively "newer production, young & modern" to me.

What's the bore size on that bad boy, .490? Very similar to the Pedersoli Howdah in current production. Many companies made Howdah style pistols starting in the late 1800's. I have done some on-line research on them and have not seen that one before. Nice pistol.

That looks very similar to the Corsair that was imported by EMF back in the 70s and 80s. The Corsair could be had in .36 and .44 cal. I think there was another model called the Renegade, but I don't recall who imported that one. I believe both models were Italian made.

It appears to be .50 cal, Not marked any where, but barrel ID measures 12.7 MM, .5 in.
