I want to take my rifle as is so far completed to Williams. I know they have two different peep rear sights. Are either of them capable of accepting a larger peep? Any option for a new front sight? Also, I can't decide whether or not to have the original rear sight completely removed, or try to make the rifle into a scout rifle. Any input appreciated, thankyou.

It's something I've thought about doing to my 2A as well.

For $10 this has been a great addition to my Ishy!

I'm trying to get the seller (who is also the maker) of the sight to add threads to the aperature so that you change size via williams peeps.

I'd find a way to put the rear peep way back on the rear bridge or not at all. Putting one one where the existing rear sight is is less than satisfactory. You will probably want to get about any peep sight and then get it screwed or welded on that bridge. Will require some 'smithing.

The absolute best peep sight for SMLEs are the "Central" sights from australia or the parker hale PH5a from england. They mount back past the bridge and do not require any smithing to install. The only drawback is their price. I was outbid in several recent auctions on ebay.au:( The sights went for $220+!!! There is one currently on ebay for $165. I agree, the putting an aperature on the current sight is less than ideal, but for the $10 it's hard to beat. The Mojo sight is $60 and is similar http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=157626 My groups are smaller and my ishy is much more enjoyable to shoot! If I can get the maker to add the ability to screw in different sized aperatures, this sight would be hard to beat dollar for dollar!
