Hey ya'll,
Working on my Christmas wish list and am interested in getting a new turkey choke tube to be ready for next spring. Need remchoke and will be limited to 3" loads.
Any recommendations? (Hastings, Briley, etc., ported or non-ported?)
Thanks

I use a Remington (made by Briley) "Turkey Full". It adds an inch to the bbl. length and is not ported. I use it on an 870 with a 26" bbl and Winchester 3" #5's. Unfortunately, this year was my first year out and I was unable to get a bird. My son(14), however, was able to take one using a Rem 1100, 28" bbl with the same "Turkey Full" choke. It was a textbook shot from just under 30 yards. Both guns printed very well with the TF choke and the selected ammo.
I can recommend the choke but you'll have to do some testing to see what ammo your gun likes best.
