It has been three years since the murders of Mary Cooper and her daughter, Susanna Stodden along the Pinnacle Lake trail in western Washington. The crime remains unsolved.

I'm sure this isn't the only 3 year old unsolved murder case, so what makes this one so special?

Agreed. THR is not a clearinghouse for articles of crimes committed with firearms. Especially articles on three-year-old crimes committed with firearms.

This case took special attention at the time.... not sure why.... but the article is certainly geared toward promoting 2A rights in the woods, and National Parks..... I guess I see it as slightly related, especially given the recent controversy over carry in National Parks....
