Last evening this was the LEAD STORY on the CBS news! Rumsfeld's (SP?) comments about the war and the decision by Govener Bush on the "right to die" case were deemed less newsworthy. That says a lot about CBS's bias. I am surprised that people are so upset by seeing other people fire guns, but then I'm biased too.

Some of the comments/questions from the media are indeed correct. How did these punks have firearms and the parents not know? Should the parents be sued for failing to act responsible?

This is just the first shot in the battle to renew the AWB. We will be hearing about this and seeing it non-stop until either the AWB is renewed or September next year, whichever comes first.

Quite simply:

The imagery is being used to demonize informal shooting, aka plinking.

The parents have been wanting release of substantial evidence, regarding some serious questions regarding the activities of the authorities on that day.

Instead, they get this circus fodder thrown to them as a bone.

Last night a reporter on CNN said the AWB ends at the end of this year.

Should the parents be sued for failing to act responsible?

They already have been, under the "knew or reasonably should have known" doctrine. Recently settled out of court with several of the victims families.
