October 22, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - Democratic 2004 wannabe Howard Dean yesterday said Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told him she wouldn't run for president this time - and that Bill Clinton said he won't publicly support any candidate in the primaries.
Despite widespread reports that the former president has privately talked up late entry Wesley Clark, Dean said he doesn't believe Clark is the Clintons' man.

"I do not believe Wes Clark is a stalking horse for the Clintons and . . . Hillary basically told me she wasn't gonna run," Dean tells CBS anchor Dan Rather in a "60 Minutes II" edition to be aired tonight.

"Bill Clinton told me that he was not necessarily supporting any particular candidate and he wasn't gonna be doing that."

Dean, whose candidacy soared on his opposition to the Iraq war,- also predicted, "Iraq is gonna become a disaster under this presidency."

Dean also says his wife, Dr. Judith Steinberg, intends to keep practicing medicine if she becomes first lady, although she will entertain "at some state dinners and things like that."

the oracle at Delphi says
"Republican re-election in 2004"

Shes a tad shakey about a female President being elected before being a VP.
