Does anybody find CZ pistols in their local gunshops?

I've been looking around for a compact or .40S&W CZ-75 and can't find any local gunshops that carry CZs. Whenever I inquire, I get faint name recognition or "Had some CZ rifles.", but nobody ever stocks pistols. :banghead:

I had to buy my CZ-75 via the Internet, got my CZ-40B about 100 miles away, and bought my CZ-70 at a gunshow, although I've never seen another CZ at a gunshow again.

Do you any of you guys ever see them locally?

Academy Sports in the austin area stores carries CZ75s in 9mm and .40

McBride's Guns has a big selection of CZ firearms (of course, they have an impressive selection period)

Flip side - big Houston gun show two weeks ago barely had a CZ in the whole place - one of the big dealers had 4 CZs, and I saw one used 75B for $350 without a hi-cap

They're not as prevalent as the Ruger P series, Berettas, Glocks, etc., but you can find them (at least around here) without much trouble.

Yes, though certainly not at all of them. I can think of 3 shops around here that I know for sure carry CZ's.

Yeah, what Dorrin said.

I live in North Austin (I could throw a rock and it would land in Round Rock), and found my 75B (9mm) at Academy. They had one in .40S&W. They also had a compact. A couple Glocks, Berettas, Rugers, Springfield Armorys, and Taurus'. Got a better deal that at the local gunstore (McBride's. The guy I talked to on the phone said they wanted $449 for it. Academy's price was $389)

Yes.

Of the places I check regularly, MC Sports has the CZ-100 on display. Another (probably the best within easy reach) usually has a CZ-75 on display. A third place (which mostly caters to hunters) has a EAA Witness pistol on display (almost a CZ).

I only frequent a couple of shops, but they do stock CZ's ;)

I know of one store that is a "factory authorized" dealer by me.
But their prices are ridiculous! About $500.00 for a CZ 75B.
However, there is another store that can order them for me. Last time I checked, I can pick one up for about $400.00 through them.
There's always the gun shows though...:D
Saw a PO1 for $429.00 .

Ed's Gun Shop in Vass, NC and Firepower Inc. in Matthews, NC. I don't remember what CZs run at Firepower, but Ed's has really good prices on CZs.

They're easy to find in Michigan. And they rock.

CZ's absolutely rock.

I don't see too many CZ's in stock at the shops around here. I did see one new P01 at a gun shop today. Most shops will order CZ's though.

Sometimes..

No, make that hardly ever. It's usually a very rare occasion when you get to see one. :uhoh:

I don't know of any around here that keep them in stock, but I know of one shop that will order them for you. I saw a compact Witness today at a pawn shop. It was a polymer .45 and was nice gun for the price. He was asking $249 for it I'm sure he would have came down of that some. If I wasn't a poor college student I would have bought it.

The shop I occaisionally work at used to have a CZ-75 on the shelf... it took 6 months and two "sales" to get rid of it. The owner isn't in any hurry to stock more.

The other local shop has a CZ-75B... its been on the shelf now for at least 3 months.

The CZs just don't sell well around here... I don't much care for them, so I guess I'm (regionally at least) average. :D

Specialty Sports, the best gunshop in Colorado Springs, carried a few when I lived there. I also thought I saw them at Gilberts here in Virginia.

I think IDAHO is worst of all. I finally felt sorry for the Dealer and bought
a 75B. It has been in the display case for 3 years. That and a CZ70 (used)
are the only CZs that I have seen here in 9 nine years. You never see any SIGs or H&Ks in my area. Most people here buy cheap..Rugers or even Hi-Points.

Thats is, if they still have jobs. Our area is so depressed that the
pawnshop won't even buy guns.

Thanks, NAFTA *)*(&^(*)!!

Several dealers in the metro area. I bought mine at a local gunshow though. 10 minutes from my house.

They are all over. But the guy I bought mine from said he would never carry them again because it took him too long to get rid of them.

A dealer near me has a CZ-52. I think $159. Feels like grabbing a brick.

I live in the Memphis area. It's usually pretty easy to find a 75B or D, but not always the other models. Gunshop prices around here are usually higher than what most folks on this board post, though.

I can't go to a gun shop around here without seeing some CZ's. Ironically I don't like them. So we both have a dilemma. :D

Most shops I go into have a couple at least but one shop, a pretty big one named Adventure Outdoors, is just eat up with them.:)

I live near LA, and of the four shops I go to, only one carries CZ. By coincidence, they were burglerized a few weeks ago and the thieves (or thief, I guess) took all the CZs, Glocks, and some other stuff (two display cases of pistols). Yes, you can have your favorite shop order them, but it's sure nice to at least be able to hold it in your hands before you put down your hard earned money.

Most gunshops in my area (Central Ky) have CZ's.I have 2 CZ-75's (9mm,blued), a CZ-75B (.40 S&W, satin nickle), a CZ-83 (.380 A.C.P;satin nickle), a CZ PCR (9mm,blued), a CZ-550 varmint .22-250, and a CZ .22 training rifle. IMHO, CZ is the best value in the gun market today.

If you are ever in the Atlanta area ... Try Hit and Run Guns in Norcross, Ga Yea, I got my '75B from him. He was pretty pleasant with me. Got a fair price too.

I see them locally. You must be lookin' in the wrong place. I must be, or I just missing them. It's ironic after starting this thread, but I saw a pre-B CZ-75 at the gunshow this weekend. My eyes almost fell out when I noticed it. I had a rough time deciding whether to buy it or the Colt CCO I found. I just couldn't justify the full size 9mm when what I really needed was a good CCW.

If I had two pistol permits on me, I probably would have bought both and ate Ramen noodles for the next week or two.
