Does anyone know of any commerical shotgun shells in suitablly large shot sizes for geese (Canada and White/Blue-size) loadedwith non-toxic or steel spreader loads? Any handload data or source for such loads?

With the increased waterfowl population I have actually have a problem with the geese coming in too close to the blind and presenting shots of 10-25 yards. Then it's "mulch" them or don't shoot at all. The regular shells even out of a IC are TOO TIGHT!!!

Many thanks.

I've taken geese with head shots with tight choke and steel shot . After all you do that with turkey. That way you don't have to pass up the 40 yd shots.

I do not know of a spreader load. I do shoot to break a wing in real close as it is easier to hit than a head or neck, then when they are on the ground/water they are easy to headshoot. Drop 3, reload and kill 3. Works for me.
