For Pete's sake, set your #$%&! location

Man, am I tired of people talking about things "where I live." I look over to the left, and their location is blank, vague, or smart-aleck.
Hey, I don't need your mailing address. Just type in your flippin' state, would ya?

Can be nice, but I hardly see that it is absolutely necessary.

Why was this moved to a place guaranteed not to be seen? It's important, it's valid, and it's general.
Now I'm REALLY frustrated.

Uhm...
Because it's the appropriate place for a post of this nature to be?
Just a guess...

Mpayne wasn't asking for technical support, or addressing the mods. It was a general post to the public. (Not trying to stir up a fire.)

has just added a "Coin....TANGENTS" category. A welcome move and very popular.
There are OFTEN times when a "non gun related" post is of interest to gun folks.
The simplicity of the addition of a tangent category could save the moderators a lot of time and be a very popular thing to have.
I notice some threads moved and others not on THR.....not necessarily apparent from the subject matter.
Gunnies can talk non gun subjects. At times. At least SOME of them can.

Marko explained it to me this way:
Ever go fishing?
Ever catch all the fish?

I see it more as goin shootin an usin the other guy's target.
Sometimes it's inadvertent.
Sometimes it's not.

I think this is a valid reminder that oughta be floated on the top of EVERY forum for a while.
But I'm just obsessed, I guess!

There are a lot of people on here with large gubmint files detailing their questionable interests in things like old revolvers, parkerizing and reloading.
It is very important that certain people on this board remain totally anonymous. Afterall, if you start posting with a state or even city next to your name, you never know WHAT could happen.
Just too risky.

I assume that's sarcasm.

I only find it annoying when someone with an assumed name and blank location calls me an idiot for living in california.
