Has anyone ever heard of a Henry Richards shotgun?
This is an old hammer gun that says "Henry Richards London Laminated Steel" on the mildly concave rib. This is a hammer gun that is probably only good for blackpowder shells, not that it will ever be shot. It has a dolls head and some decent engaving. 12 gauge. Anyone have any info at all?

Answer:
Both single and double barrel shotguns were marked Henry Richards. These were a second-line gun made by W & C Scott & Sons to be imported exclusively by J. P. Moore & Son, 302 Broadway, New York City, NY. The double barrel 10 gauge sold for $75 in 1881, and the single barrel 12 gauge with barrel lengths up to thirty-six inches sold for $ 15.

"What cost $15 in 1881 would cost $330.61 in 2008.
Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2008 and 1881,
they would cost you $15 and $0.71 respectively. "
Pretty neat that prices have stayed about the same.
