Anyone have one of these? How reliable is yours? I think it's pretty cool to shoot 50rds of 5.7 w/ little recoil. The ammo is pretty much priced the same as .223 these days.

I really don't see a point since the round doesn't have any advantage over a .223/5.56x45 cartridge in an AR platform. I saw a guy shooting one once. It had zero recoil, but I just don't see the appeal.

I put an AR-57 together last year but sold it rather quickly. The gun shot ok but it was just a wimpy version of my other AR's. I much prefer the .223 over the 5.7x28. This gun just didn't do it for me even with the 50 round mag.

i am always up for new things, but like was said there is no real advantage, that i can see. I would save the money on the upgrade, and mags for it, and go to a training course with the ar that i already had, and learn to fight with it.
