Member Titles

The Staff of THR has decided that member titles based on post counts have very little meaning. One member might take 2 years to post 100 posts and become a "Senior Member" while another, newer, member can become a Senior Member in only a few days.

From this day on, every registered member in good standing will simply have the title of "Member".

Okay... so I'll step forward and ask. While I don't disagree in the least to the feckless nature of the titles, what harm were they?

Folks like to attribute wisdom to high post counts and/or titles, and castigate as newbies those with low post counts or 'junior' titles. That is oftimes a foolish barometer that actually gets in the way of meaningful discourse.
