I just bought a Browning Citori Special Sporting Clays over/under - my first O/U. Have not shot it yet.
Question - what barrel (O or U) do most trap shooters use for singles?

Over barrel...if it's an off day sometimes I'll load both for a second shot

The bottom barrel may hit higher and heat will dissipate better. True trap you only load one round.

lower barrel - it recoils more straight backward and helps in that regard

Nice - I have its cousin - the Gti. Keep it cleaned and lightly lubed and it'll will go a long time. Mine went a bout 80,000 before needing some new springs

For Trap use the over barrel, for anyting else, Clays, hunting, HD, shoot the under first (above post is right on- straight back recoil means less muzzle rise, and a better second shot sight picture).
