How do you get into the Shot Show?

I believe the Shot Show is not open to the public. Do you need to have an FFL to get in? Are there any other ways to get passes?

I know in my industry (Gaming) it's pretty easy to get extra passes to tradeshows. Firearm industry same?

you need to be associated with an organization what does shooting hunting or outdoor stuff.


maybe you can talk them into letting you have a pass if you tell them you're working on the next GURPS high tech book.

It's my understanding that FFL's are allowed to bring a certain number of guests with them to the SHOT Show. I don't know how many that would be, nor do I know what it would cost to get in, but your best bet would be to make friends with a local FFL and see if you can get yourself invited.

I wonder if a C&R might be enough cred to get you in the door?

Preregister with a business card and letter from a gun dealer, or other gun related business.
I went to the 2001 SHOT in New Orleans using a friends Import Export business...I was Director Of Latin American Marketing for a day.
Twas a great thing! Kid in a candy store...
