S&W Model 64 question....

To all of you S&W experts:

When did they (or did they) start making MIM parts for these? I want to buy one but would like to know the "dash" that signifies MIM cost cutting measures. For example, I've been told that Model 10-8 incorporated MIM parts. Which dash is it for a Model 64?

It was late in the 64-5 series. MIM parts started in earnest in the 64-6.

By the way, the Model 10 didn't get MIM parts until late in the 10-10 series.

It seems that my hunt for a 64 has ended early. Today, I kind of got a good deal on a trade for a 6" .357 GP100. The Model 64 will have to wait. Thank you, though, for the info.
