I know about Lead Away and that you are not supposed to used them on a blued surface but is there any way to get the lead out of a blued gun without the muss and fuss associated with scrubbing, etc? Thanks!

For the bore and cylinders a Lewis Lead Remover is hard to beat, now owned by Brownells. Follow with what ever bore solvent you normally use.

For the front of the cylinder and around the outside of the forcing cone, a bronze brush and bore cleaner will work.

That is good advice, Joe. I would add that time is a factor. If you start with a clean gun before you shoot it, and if you take a brush and solvent to the range with you, you can clean the fouling off the cylinder face with just a few passes of the brush. If you wait 24 hours or more to clean, it tends to "set up," and then it is much more difficult to remove. I am a poor one for following my own advice. I tend to wait to clean until the gun is pretty cruddy, but when I do make myself clean the pieces within a couple of hours of shooting, the task is much easier.
