Can a 2 position CAR-15 collapsable stock be drilled with extra holes? Modified into a 3 or 4 position stock?

I think it could, but maybe it would become more fragile then..

If the stock is on a SP-1, I'd think twice about doing anything to it...

No it's not a SP1.
I think it is a Olympic Arms.

You "could" but you'd be better off to simply replace the buffer tube with one with more stop positions. Tubes are not expensive and are fairly easy to change out.

Drilling can be "iffy" unless you have a good drill press with an accurate stop and you have everything centered and set up exactly correct.

With all the guys building "retro" rifles, I would think you would be better off to sell your extension tube and buy a new four, five, or six position tube.
