Howdy, my friends! I'd like to introduce you to the new Taurus Public Defender-- a pint-sized version of the Judge. It's got a little J-Frame boot grip, 2 inch barrel, fiber optic front sight, and a bobbed hammer. And it's REAL mean looking! Although I haven't fired it yet, I've read the shot pattern is worthless past 6 feet when using .410ga loads, so the old .45LC is probably the way to go for concealed carry. But for Everglades search and destroy snake missions, the .410ga will have to come out and play!

The Taurus Public Defender fits in my pocket, so you could realistically carry this beast if you wanted to. As you guys know from my last message (which was locked by a moderator), this unit is destined to become the Bull Gator. I'm going to spray it down with DuraCoat WWII OD green and have our local engraver put "Bull Gator" on the top and/or side of the frame. I'll keep you posted on the project, but in the meantime I figured a few pictures would get your juices flowing. There aren't many pictures of the Public Defender on the web yet, so enjoy!

Have a good one and God bless!

Well, it's been a while since the last Judge post. Hope you have your asbestos boxers handy for the Taurus/Judge haters around here.

Get close to those snakes with some home rolled #2 shot or BB and stand back and admire the carnage.

I wouldn't believe everything you read. I doubt that at 6 feet a shot load would spread wider than a human size target.

As for the "roll your own" ... you can if you like ... but I'd wager that #4 or #6 shot would do in the snakes just fine, and give you a denser pattern to boot.

Enjoy it!

Im not a Judge fan but those things do look straight mean. It gives new meaning to the "bulldog" concept.
