Shipping Ammo Rules???

I know you cannot ship any ammo by the post office but what are the rules and costs from other shippers?.

I have a large lifetime collection from one rare cartridge, many about a dozen and GI ammo cans holding a thousand police 38 ammo as the range of stuff to be shipped.

I can sell it if I knew how to ship it.

I have tried contacting UPS and have heard there is an ORM-D sticker required but can get no response about it from them.

Does anyone have information to help me as this old timer wants to clear out my reloading room of a lot of stuff?

I am in too poor a condition to carry any to a gun show and I am working on a list.

Paul,

See the following thread: www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46369&highlight=ORMD

Also, if you do a search on this site using "ORM-D" as the key, you will find many other threads.

Sturdy box, lotsa tape, and MagicMarker 1" letters saying "ORM-D" on every side but top.
Call it 'Small Arms Munitions'.
No extra cost.

And that's from a man that does it often.

Lead is heavy; "Bullets are made of LEAD".

ROTFLMAO
(Picture in head of wife helping carry UPS bullet delivery to shop: "These little boxes are SO HEAVY!")

LEAD! It's LEAD!

Still laughing................
