Just wondering if either the Dillon 550/650 or the Hornady Lock-n-Load can be changed/adjusted to suit left hand operators? I'm left handed, and I had surgery on my right shoulder so it is not as strong. Is it possible to operate these progressive press handles left handed? Thank you.

Why wouldn't they? Which hand you use to pull a lever doesn't matter.

RM: Neither the Dillon SDB, 550, or 650 press can the operating handle be changed over for a lefty. Having said that my older son is left handed and has no trouble loading on either of my two 550B's...with supervision of course. :)

I am a lefty and load on a LEE challenger, classic turret, and loadmaster, and I don't have much trouble. I guess it would be a lot faster teh other way though.

I'm a lefty and use a Lyman T-Mag II. It allows you to move the handle for left or right-hand use. In addition, it's a pretty good unit.

One can mount the lever on the various Lee presses on either side. I am a right hand lever puller (though I am about 60% left handed), but I have the lever on my Breech Lock Challenger mounted on the left side due to the proximity of it to my Dillon SDB I have to sit to the right of it.

The Dillon SDB has the lever in the middle, so it can be pulled with either hand. I've never tried to use it lefty because I like to sit to the left of the press, but I suspect it could be done easily.

The Lee presses can be used by lefties by moving the press handle to the other side...

both my presses have the handle in the center of the units... they are both single stage presses..... heheh,,, i have a system where i can use both presses at once to reload .357 mag- .38spl........ i got a lee .357 magnum speed die when you could get em and another .38 spl die body and extra parts to reload off two presses at once.... works for me!.........

I'm left handed and have the Hornady LNL AP. I would think it would be easy to make a handle you could use left handed as well as load cases and bullets all on the left side. Others have made custom handles for their particular purposes. If I recall the handle is 5/8 inch in diameter.

LNL: Looking at the handle connection point, there is enough metal to add a scab metal block to the pivot and place the handle on the left side. If handle angle matches or is wider, should be able to add cases and bullets OK.

Alternate method: Add case feeder and a RCBS bullet feeder to make press one handed. Then just move seat two feet right. That's my plan, test is later this week after tuning case and bullet feeders.

Add a roller handle, they are sweet. You never loosen your grip.
