On a S&W roll.

I have recently been TRYING to lighten up my collection of handguns. I thought I was doing well as I had sold four in the last two months. Well in the last month I have now bought three S&W revolvers. I found a pristine Model 10-5 2 inch several weeks ago, then I stumbled on a nice Model 10-8 a few days later. I then talked a coworker that I sold a S&W Model 649 about ten years ago into trading it back to me. I gave him my Taurus .38 and $200 to get it back. Then on Friday another coworker was showing me his S&W 642 Airweight and it hit me that I could actually drop this thing in my pocket in place of the Kel-tec .32 I have been using for summer shorts carry.....so I went and found one. I do not like the rubber boot grips that came on it so I am gonna put a pair of standard wood grips and a tyler t-grip on it. I ordered a Mika pocket holster for it yesterday and it will also become my back-up weapon at work, carried in a Renegade ankle holster. I shot 25 rounds of +p Hydrashoks thru it to qualify with it right after taking it out of the box on Friday. It has a nice little thump to it. I like it and I think I am gonna shoot it some more this afternoon in the back yard after it cools of a bit.

If anyone knows of a better ankle holster than the Renegade let me know. I have used them exclusively for the last 18 years and have worn out about five of them now and the one I have now is not long for the garbage. It kept coming off when I was drawing out of it on Friday. I wear the thing about 16 to 18 hours a day just about every day so I do tend to wear em out.

I have a galco ankle holster (leather) that I bought some years back. I can only wear it for short periods though as it gives me a rash. It's for a 2" j frame and is black.
